Make this Presidents' Weekend unforgettable by heading to Big Bear Mountain Resort from February 12-15, 2027, and immersing yourself in the premier alpine settings of Southern California. To help prepare for a wintery weekend getaway, here are some essential tips to ensure a seamless trip:
1. Secure your lift tickets, lessons, rentals, parking, and/or tubing slots in advance to ensure guaranteed access.
2. Plan to leave the beach cities exceptionally early, allocating at least 3-4 hours for driving, parking, and shuttle transportation.
3. Approach your arrival with an open mind, acknowledging that it will be exceptionally busy.
4. Most importantly, get ready for some alpine fun.
Winter season products will go on sale in November 2026 for the 26/27 Winter Season.
Please note, operations are subject to change.

Weather & Conditions
February weather tends to typically be cold, snowy, and the perfect temperature for adventure. The weather can change at anytime so plan your travels accordingly and remember to pack warm layers as snowfall may be possible.
Snow Chains/Cables
It's advisable to have snow traction devices in your vehicle during the winter months due to unpredictable weather changes.
Please be aware that we are unable to predict or anticipate CalTrans enforcement actions. Our recommendation is to be prepared for any possible scenarios.

Upper Lot Paid Parking
An upper lot parking fee will be in effect Presidents' Weekend, February 12-15. All upper lot reserved spots must be booked online in advance and will sell out. You cannot purchase a spot onsite.
Anyone that does not have a reserved parking spot will head straight to the offsite lots* for free parking. Please give yourself at least 2 hours to get to the parking lots, park, and shuttle in. With the holiday rush, expect extreme delays.
*Offsite lots offered at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain only. Once Snow Valley's parking lot is filled, there will be no accommodations.

Tube Park Open Daily
Looking for an outdoor activity this winter that’s fun for the whole family? Check out Snow Valley's Coyote Creek Tube Park and Snow Summit's Grizzly Ridge Tube Park to experience the thrill of gliding down the hill in a controlled environment in one of our snow tubes.
Night Sessions
Whether you want to extend your ski day, or simply enjoy the adventure of riding under the stars, join us for Night Sessions from 3PM-8:30PM. A Night Session lift ticket or 26/27 season pass is required to ski or snowboard during Night Sessions at Snow Valley and Snow Summit.
Intermountain Shuttle
The Intermountain Shuttle is complimentary and will take riders to/from Snow Summit/Bear Mountain*. Since your lift ticket and season passes work at both resorts for same-day use, hop on the shuttle to experience both mountains in one day. During Presidents' Weekend, the hours will be extended to:
Friday, February 12-Monday, February 15: 10AM-5:30PM
*Important Note: If you parked at Bear Mountain, then head to Snow Summit and plan to stay for Snow Summit’s Night Sessions on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the last shuttle back to the Bear Mountain parking lot is at 5:30PM. Please plan accordingly to return to your car then drive to the Snow Summit upper parking lots (free after 2PM on Reserved Parking days). This will ensure you have a convenient spot and avoid being stranded when the shuttle stops running.
Friday, February 12-Monday, February 15: 10AM-5:30PM

Private Suite Rental
Spend the day at Snow Summit in the comfort of your own suite located a short distance from the chairlifts. This premier private experience is designed for up to eight (8) friends, and is perfect for families or small groups. From exclusivity to the Ikon Pass Suite and access to the BBMR Daily Reserve priority lift line to curated food and drink specials, this experience is like no other.
Pass Holder Access
There are NO blackout dates for Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, BBMR Anytime Pass, and Snow Valley Anytime Pass holders at Big Bear Mountain Resort during the holidays.
The 26/27 BBMR Midweek Pass is valid for lift access Monday-Friday only + any nights with Night Session (yes, that's including holiday session Saturdays and Sundays). This pass is blacked out December 21-25 & 28-31, 2026 and January 1, 2027

Catch a ride to Snow Summit during the 26/27 winter season with the Sports Basement Ski Bus. For $80 per seat per day, you can depart from South Bay, Long Beach, or Orange County on select Saturdays and Sundays. Pricing and dates subject to change at any time.

Biggie's Den Meet & Greet
Take a photo and capture a moment with Biggie the Bear at Biggie's Den during your alpine stay. This is the go-to home base at Snow Summit for Big Bear Mountain Resort's favorite furry friend mascot. During scheduled appearance times, Biggie pops out of his den to say hello, share bear hugs, and pose for snowy smiles with kids and families.
