Big Bear Mountain Resort's Terrain Parks are perennially rated among the best in the country thanks to our award-winning Park Crew’s dedication to constantly push the limit of what’s possible when it comes to park progression.

SKILL BUILDER PARK

SKILL BUILDER PARK


The perfect park for beginners, packed with smaller versions of the features that make us famous, including rails and boxes to help riders improve their park skills.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Features:
  • Very low to the ground, small, not intimidating rail features
  • Small 5 to 10 foot long snow features ranging from rollers to hips to table tops
Resort: Bear Mountain and Snow Summit
Where:
  • Snow Summit Skill Builder Park is on Chair 9. Run names include Skyline Creek, Cruiser, Sundown and Main Stream.
  • Bear Mountain Skill Builder Park is on Chair 6, 7, and 9. Run names include Learning Curve, Easy street, Inspiration, Amusement Park, and The Scene.

With more jumps, jibs, and transition than any other resort in Southern California, Bear Mountain is your Terrain Park headquarters, featuring SoCal’s only halfpipes (8′, 13′, 18′ + a Jib Pipe), over 200 features, and more jibs than you’ll know what to do with.

Our award-winning Park Crew has partnered with Red Bull to transform a section of Lower Park Run into a downtown epicenter with urban inspired features, some from our annual winter kickoff event, Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails, to keep it fresh.

Located in front of the sundeck at Bear Mountain, The Scene is where our Park Crew come up with new setups throughout the season to give riders something to look for each time they hit the snow.

About: Bear Mountain’s four peaks feature a combination of packed powder and ungroomed terrain for riders who want a true backcountry experience.

Silver Mountain has three advanced runs to choose from, with access to Deer and Goldmine canyons, while Bear Peak features the highest, steepest, most challenging lift-served peak in Southern California (8,805’) and access to Bow Canyon.

WARNING: Going off designated runs can be dangerous. These areas are not patrolled or maintained. Go at your own risk.
