Step into the Southwest Downhill Series! We're thrilled to offer a race series that embraces families and welcomes participants of all expertise levels. At every event, there's a dedicated Cat 2/3 course available if required, designed with novices in mind, providing an excellent chance to experience downhill racing. Join us and discover the excitement of mountain bike racing firsthand. Snow Valley will host the 1st and 3rd (August 29-30) races in the series.

At every event, there's a dedicated Cat 2/3 course available if required, designed with novices in mind, providing an excellent chance to experience downhill racing.       • 8AM-4PM: Bike Park Opens, Public Lift Hours
      • 8:30AM-11:30AM: Practice Group C
      • 11:30AM-2:30PM: Practice Group A/B
      • 3PM-TBD: Pro/Cat 1 Seeding

      SUNDAY, JUNE 7

      • 7AM-9AM: Athlete Registration/Check-In
      • 8AM-4PM: Bike Park Opens, Public Lift Hours
      • 8AM-9:45AM: Practice Group C
      • 9:45AM-11:30AM: Practice Group A/B
      • 12PM-TBD: Finals with Awards to Follow

      RACER INFO

      • Number plates and full face helmets are required!
      • Practice session cutoff times will be controlled at the start house.
      • Practice will be broken into three groups, subject to change:
        • Group A: Pro Men, Pro Women, Cat 1 Junior Men 17-18, Cat 1 Women 17-18, Cat 1 Men 15-16, Vet Pro Men
        • Group B: Cat 1 Categories (excluding Cat 1 Jr 17 Men, Cat 1 Men 15-16, Cat 1 Women 18 & Under
        • Group C: Cat 2/3 Categories, Mini Rippers 10 & Under, E-Bikes
    • Open Venues
      Food & Beverage

      Refuel at Thunder Mountain BBQ & Bar, outside of the main Chalet building, to ensure you're fully charged for dirt trail action. Open from 8AM to 4PM on Saturday and Sunday serving items such as burgers, hot dogs, a wide selection of beverages, and more.

      Sports Shop

      Swing by the retail store in the base area from 8:30AM to 4PM to grab new biking gear, branded Snow Valley merchandise, or trinkets and mementos to bring back home.

      Rental Shop & Ticket Windows

      The Rental Shop and Ticket Windows will be open from 7:30AM to 4PM during the Southwest Downhill race weekend. Stop by to pickup your advance purchase reservations or secure products the same-day. Subject to availability.
    • Additional Operations
      • Chairlifts will open an hour earlier than usual (8AM instead of 9AM) for racers and public use during the races.
      • Quick Draw, Crazy Horse, and Gun Smoke trails will be fully closed all day on both days to accommodate the races.
      • Parking is free. Racer pits will be set up in the paved area outside of the restrooms; overnight parking and camping is prohibited.
