The Southwest Downhill Series was originally scheduled to run from Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14. However, due to a hard road closure between Snow Valley and Snow Summit/Bear Mountain, the Friday portion of the event has been canceled. Races will still take place on Saturday and Sunday as planned.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 13
- 7AM-1PM: Athlete Registration/Check-In
- 8AM-4PM: Bike Park Opens, Public Lift Hours
- 8:30AM-11:30AM: Practice Group C
- 11:30AM-2:30PM: Practice Group A/B
- 3PM-TBD: Pro/Cat 1 Seeding
SUNDAY, SEPT. 14
- 7AM-9AM: Athlete Registration/Check-In
- 8AM-4PM: Bike Park Opens, Public Lift Hours
- 8AM-9:45AM: Practice Group C
- 9:45AM-11:30AM: Practice Group A/B
- 12PM-TBD: Finals with Awards to Follow 15 Minutes After Last Finisher
RACER INFO
- Number plates and full face helmets are required!
- Practice session cutoff times will be controlled at the start house
- Practice will be broken into three groups, subject to change:
- Group A: Pro Men, Pro Women, Cat 1 Junior Men 17-18, Cat 1 Women 17-18, Cat 1 Men 15-16, Vet Pro Men
- Group B: Cat 1 Categories (excluding Cat 1 Jr 17 Men, Cat 1 Men 15-16, Cat 1 Women 18 & Under
- Group C: Cat 2/3 Categories, Mini Rippers 10 & Under, E-Bikes

- Chairlifts will open an hour earlier than usual (8AM instead of 9AM) for racers and public use during the races.
- Grab a bite to eat from Big Bear Burger Co. from 8AM to 4PM on Saturday and Sunday.
- Parking is free; overnight parking is prohibited.
- Quick Draw, Crazy Horse, and Gun Smoke trails will be fully closed all day on both days to accommodate the races.
- The Sports Shop will have a retail booth on the base area deck with MTB items for sale.
