There are NO blackout dates for Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, BBMR Anytime Pass, and Snow Valley Anytime Pass holders at Big Bear Mountain Resort during the holidays.

The 25/26 BBMR Midweek Pass is valid for lift access Monday-Friday only + any nights with Night Session (yes, that's including holiday session Saturdays and Sundays!).

The 25/26 Ikon Session passes are blacked out December 27-31, 2025, January 17-18, 2026, and February 14-15, 2026.

It's advisable to have snow traction devices in your vehicle due to unpredictable weather changes. CalTrans may or may not be mandating snow chains/cables on all 2WD. Not required for 4WD or AWD, but highly recommended. Give yourself an extra 3 hours more-than-usual travel time. Expect heavy delays.

Please be aware that we are unable to predict or anticipate CalTrans enforcement actions. Our recommendation is to be prepared for any possible scenarios.

Whether you're a first-timer or want to freshen up your skills, a group or private lesson with a Big Bear Mountain Resort instructor will help you progress in no time. With lesson options for skiers and snowboarders of all ages & abilities, you'll feel comfortable on the slopes as you ride the largest learning area in Southern California.

Children ages 4 and under and seniors ages 80+ ski/snowboard for free. Kids & senior tickets are not limited and do not require an advance reservation. Visit the ticket windows during operating hours to redeem. Valid physical ID required. Not available for online redemption.

Discover a plethora of dining choices spanning Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain. A lift ticket is necessary solely for on-hill dining spots. The majority of dining establishments are situated in the base areas and are accessible to all.

If you're at Snow Summit, head to Tommi's located upstairs in the main lodge and enjoy a specialty hand-crafted cocktail. From vodka martinis to whiskey sours and Irish coffees, this is the place to be when you need to take a breather from the slopes.

Snow Summit will host the 61st Annual NYE Concert & Torchlight Parade on Dec. 31, 2025 with a New Year's Eve party to follow in the base area with alpine fun activities.

Located in the base areas, the Sport Shops are your one-stop shop for outdoor adventure, featuring the latest gear, apparel, and accessories.

Once you're at either Snow Summit or Bear Mountain, visit both mountains in the same day by taking the Intermountain Shuttle service every 30 minutes on select dates throughout the season.

**On days with Night Sessions at Snow Summit, the last Intermountain Shuttle pick-up will be at 5:30PM to return guests to Bear Mountain. If you parked at Bear Mountain earlier in the day but plan to stay for Snow Summit’s Night Sessions, which end at 8:30PM, please drive to the Snow Summit upper parking lots (free after 2PM on Reserved Parking days). This will ensure you have a convenient spot and avoid being stranded when the shuttle stops running.

To travel from Snow Valley to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, you can take advantage of Mountain Transit. Simply board the Mountain Transit Route 5 Off the Mountain (OTM) for a convenient ride from Running Springs to Big Bear Lake. Please be aware that delays and operations could be impacted during snowy and challenging road conditions.
