Big Bear Mountain Resort is excited to announce Summer 2026 activities at Snow Summit will open on Friday, May 22, for Memorial Day weekend, before closing midweek and reopening with daily operations starting Friday, June 5. Come up and enjoy an action-packed day at your favorite Southern California mountain resort. From exploring the various base area activities to hiking through the green forestry on the hill, there's plenty of adventure awaiting for all ages.

Sign Your 2026 Summer Waiver Online
All guests must sign a liability waiver each season. To expedite the check-in process and get on the hill faster, we highly recommend completing your liability waiver at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival.
Basecamp Activities
Experience the ultimate mountain playground, featuring a climbing wall, Euro Bungee, and more fun for the whole family. Purchase day passes or single-use tickets.
Scenic Sky Chair
Enjoy panoramic views of the Big Bear Valley on a mile-long ascent through the San Bernardino National Forest on Snow Summit's Scenic Sky Chair before arriving at the mountaintop (elevation 8,200 feet). All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Groups of 15 or more receive discounts on summer activities at Big Bear Mountain Resort. Whether you’re planning an outing with your family, friends, coworkers, or youth/community group, scout or school activities, our Sales team will work with you to create a trip that’s tailored to your group’s specific needs.
Child & Senior Discounts
Children aged 4 and under, as well as seniors 80 and older, can ride the Scenic Sky Chair and MTB Park for free throughout the season.

Parking
Parking is available in the Snow Summit upper lot for FREE on a first come, first served basis.

Hiking
Explore some of Southern California’s most scenic hiking trails, with access to an extensive network of U.S. Forest Service pathways and two on-site options – Mountain Top Loop (1 mile) and Bobsled Trail (2 miles).
Bear Mountain Golf Course
Looking for extra adventure during your alpine visit? Make time for nine during your May stay and enjoy the benefits of playing a round of golf at 7,000 feet with the San Bernardino Mountains as your backdrop.
