Big Bear Mountain Resort is proud to support Visit Big Bear with the Fall Scarecrow & Dia De Los Muertos Competition, taking place from October 8 to November 7, 2025 throughout the Big Bear valley. Local businesses and homes in the area will be decked out with scarecrows, calacas (skeletons), and ofrendas and now it’s your turn to help pick the winners!
Here's how you can partake on your next alpine adventure:
• Grab a map and ballot at the Visit Big Bear Visitor Center to see all the displays
• Cast your vote for your favorite in each category
• Snap photos, share on social, and tag @visitbigbear + #BigBearScare
This is your chance to explore, enjoy, and vote for the festive decor that inspires you most. There will be over $10,000 in total prizes awarded to winners, review the flyer for competition details.
Prizes will be awarded based on popular vote, so every ballot counts. Winners will be announced November 12, 2025.
