Experience a New Kind of Winter

UPDATED APR. 5

Since reopening to the public for winter operations in mid-November, Big Bear Mountain Resort has served as a destination for guests to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. The continued operation of our twin properties – Bear Mountain and Snow Summit – is a result of new guidelines that were developed and implemented with input from state and county agencies and the support of our guests, employees, and community to ensure a safe and successful season.

New operating guidelines include:

  • Face coverings and social distancing required in all public areas
  • Bear Mountain and Snow Summit base area access limited to guests with valid season passes or lift tickets only
  • Direct-to-lift tickets and paid parking available for advance purchase online and the BBMR mobile app
  • Daily lift ticket sales limited, and walk-up sales eliminated
  • Ticket window operations reserved for special event tickets (passholder Friends & Family, military, birthday, senior 80+, child 4 & under, parent/guardian) and advance lesson/rental voucher redemptions
  • Paid parking implemented at all BBMR lots on select dates
  • Revised lesson times and reduced class sizes
  • Reduced operating capacities for shuttles and buses + enhanced daily sanitizing protocols
Please allow extra time when traveling to/from BBMR to account for possible delays due to reduced operating capacities.

BASE AREA ACCESS

BASE AREA ACCESS

All guests must have a valid lift ticket or season pass to receive gated entry access to the Bear Mountain or Snow Summit base areas this winter. At this time, advance reservations are not required at BBMR, but anyone attempting to access the base areas without a valid lift ticket or season pass will be denied entry. Lift tickets, season passes, and lesson/rental reservations are available for purchase online or by calling 844.GO2.BEAR. Guests must wear face coverings in all public spaces and should practice social distancing at all times during their visit.

Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are open daily. View hours of operation.

LIFT TICKET BARCODES

Please have your lift ticket barcode ready before arriving at the base area and check in at the designated guest entry points. To avoid crowds, we recommend heading to the gates located near the Adventure Academy at Snow Summit and the staircase to the left of Silver Mountain Eatery at Bear Mountain to check in.

Barcode Not Showing Up?

If your confirmation number is not generating a barcode, it most likely is due to one of the following:
  • You purchased a Grizzly Ridge Tube Park ticket
  • You purchased a Lesson + Lift or a Lesson + Lift + Rental package
  • You purchased equipment rentals
  • You purchased a group or private lesson
The items listed above will not generate a barcode. You must check in at the ticket windows to receive a voucher. Barcodes are only generated for a la carte full-day, half-day, and Night Session lift tickets, and day parking tickets. If you want to review your full reservation, please log into MY ACCOUNT.

All direct-to-scan tickets are assigned individual barcodes that are non-transferable and may not be duplicated. When exiting, please get a hand-stamp for re-entry. Guests without a hand stamp or unscanned lift ticket barcode will not be allowed back in.

NO RESERVATION

Guests that need to redeem passholder benefits, military discounts, or birthday/child/senior lift tickets should proceed to Bear Mountain or Snow Summit ticket windows.

LESSONS & RENTALS

Guests with advance rental and/or lesson reservations should proceed directly to the ticket windows at Bear Mountain or Snow Summit to check in, even if a lift ticket is included in your reservation.

OPERATING GUIDELINES

BBMR’s new operating guidelines are posted throughout the resort, including all points of entry in the Bear Mountain and Snow Summit base areas, lift lines, locker rooms, rental/repair/retail shops, and dining locations. Additionally, the following sanitation protocols have been implemented:

  • Employees must wear face coverings when in public unless stationed behind protective glass (ex. ticket windows)
