Reserve Online for Faster Check In
Skip the ticket windows and get on the slopes faster this winter by reserving your equipment rentals in advance and picking up at the rental shop listed on your reservation when you arrive. When arriving at the rental shop indicated on your reservation please follow the instructions to be placed in the digital queue. You will receive a message on your mobile device indicating next steps. You must sign a liability waiver online prior to check in.

Please allow at least 30 minutes from the time you arrive to check in and pick up your gear. Rental equipment reservations may also be picked up after 2:30PM the day before the reservation date, subject to availability.

NOTE: Equipment rentals DO NOT include lift tickets or helmets. Lift tickets must be purchased separately, and helmets can be added to your reservation at a discounted rate.

How it Works


Guests with advance equipment rental reservations will receive a confirmation email with unique barcodes for each rental reservation purchased. To redeem, go to the rental shop indicated in your confirmation email and present your barcode(s) to a rental attendant when it’s your time to check in.

NOTE: Each barcode represents one (1) equipment rental reservation. Guests with multiple equipment rental reservations must scan all barcode(s) prior to receiving their equipment. To make the process as quick as possible, please have your barcode(s) ready before arriving at the rental shop.


Lift Tickets


Guests with advance lift ticket reservations will receive a confirmation email with unique barcodes for each lift ticket purchased. Once scanned, all tickets within the reservation will print in the same session. If you have multiple guests under one reservation, you will need to distribute their tickets as barcodes may not be shared. Please stop by the rental shop before making your way to one of the pickup boxes in the base area to print your lift ticket(s). There are 10 pick up boxes at each base area; to locate a box on-site, download the new BBMR mobile app.
Locate Your Confirmation Email


After your lift ticket purchase is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt entitled "Big Bear Mountain Resort Reservations." Your confirmation email will have barcode(s) for all lift tickets purchased. To ensure deliverability, please add reservations@bbmr.com to your safe senders list.

Take a Screenshot


Mobile and Wi-Fi service can vary greatly in the mountains due to multiple factors, including device type, service provider, and weather conditions. Therefore, we highly recommend taking a screenshot of your lift ticket barcode(s) prior to arriving to ensure availability when using the pickup boxes. To screenshot your barcode(s), refer to your device instruction manual.
Find a Pick Up Box


There are 10 pickup boxes in the Bear Mountain and Snow Summit base areas. To locate a box, download the BBMR Mobile App and go to the Pickup Box section for directions. To redeem your lift ticket reservation, follow the directions on the Pickup Box. If you need additional assistance, locate a BBMR host (look for the green jackets) or visit the Guest Services office.
