The Adventure Academy is located at the east end of the Snow Summit base area.

After I made my mountain bike rental reservation, what do I need to bring with me to pick up my mountain bike?

To pick up your MTB rental, the purchaser must be present with a valid ID and the original credit card used to purchase the reservation.

What does Big Bear include with my mountain bike rental?

Complete protective gear (full face helmet, shin & elbow guards, and chest protector) is included with all Downhill and Freeride bike rentals. Open face helmet is included with all Cross-Country rentals.

Do I need a lift ticket or Big Bear Season MTB Pass to get a mountain bike rental?

Mountain bike rentals DO NOT include terrain access. A 2022 Bike Park Season Pass, 21/22 Dual Season Pass, or Bike Park Lift Ticket is required to use the mountain bike rentals. Guests with advance lift ticket reservations will receive a confirmation email with unique barcodes for each lift ticket purchased. Once scanned, all tickets within the reservation will print in the same session. If you have multiple guests under one reservation, you will need to distribute their tickets as barcodes may not be shared. Please stop by the rental shop before making your way to one of the pickup boxes in the base area to print your lift ticket(s). There are a handful pick up boxes at each base area; to locate a box on-site, download the BBMR mobile app.

Getting Your Rental

Meet Outside the Snow Valley Rental Shop or Snow Summit Adventure Academy

Before you make your way to the mountains to enjoy Southern California's best lift-served bike parks, here are some helpful tips regarding your upcoming rental reservation. We recommend allowing at least 30-45 minutes from the time you arrive to check in and pick up your gear. Please allow additional time during peak and holiday periods.

Locate Your Confirmation Barcode(s)

After your purchase is complete, you should receive a confirmation email entitled, "Big Bear Mountain Resort Reservations" with barcode(s) for all reservations purchased. To ensure deliverability, please add reservations@bbmr.com to your safe sender list.

If you are unable to locate your confirmation email, check your junk/spam folder or call 844.GO2.BEAR to speak to a reservation specialist. Please note, call and chat volumes may vary. We appreciate your patience.

Head to the Snow Valley Rental Shop or the Snow Summit Adventure Academy

During checkout, you were prompted to select which location you wanted to reserve a mountain bike for. Please go to the appropriate resort. Return all gear to the same location you picked it up from.

Check-In and Waivers

When arriving, proceed to the Snow Valley Rental Shop or the Snow Summit Adventure Academy, located on the east end of the base area. To save time, please fill out your liability waiver online before you arrive. A separate waiver for the bike rental is also required and must be completed in person. Minors under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign on their behalf.

What to Bring

The person who purchased the bike rental must be present and provide a valid ID and the credit card used to purchase the reservation.
