Bear Mountain and Snow Summit have undergone some major changes over the past five years, with renovations at both properties in 2018, 2019, and 2022, and even more upgrades underway this summer.

Slopeside Refresh

Snow Summit's Slopeside building, located on the west side of the base area below Chair 2, is undergoing a full facelift, with rebuilt framing, new Trex decking, and remodel of Driftwood BBQ.

Have you seen the new deck in the meadow area below Chair 1? Completed earlier this summer, the new area is the perfect place to play a game of cornhole, and enjoy a bite from Bighorn Smokehouse, or grab a cold Coca-Cola after your last lap of the day.

Employee Housing

To offset the lack of local housing options available, Big Bear Mountain Resort has purchased the former Travelodge property on the west end of town, which will be converted into employee housing prior to the 22/23 winter season.
