Autumn Weather
The month of October in Running Springs (Snow Valley) and Big Bear Lake (Bear Mountain Golf Course) calls for cooler weather and crisp alpine air. While temperatures may vary, it's likely to see an average low of 35°F/2°C and an average high of 60°F/16°C.
Twilight Session at Snow Valley
Head to Snow Valley to kickstart your early Halloween festivities with late afternoon Twilight Session bike park laps on Friday, October 23, from 3PM-6PM. Whether you're looking to enjoy a ride down our Green Horn trail or test your skills on the more difficult Jumpline trail, there's no better way to catch sunset than on your bike.
Twilight Session lift tickets are $19 and must be purchased on-site the day of use at the ticket windows. Twilight Session access is included for 2026 Summit + Valley season pass holders as well as full-day and one-way lift tickets.

Driving Range After Dark
Give it a glow and enjoy an illuminated evening at Bear Mountain Golf Course's Driving Range on Saturday, October 24. You'll choose a one-hour time slot between 7PM-8PM and 8:15PM-9:15PM to swing under the stars with glowing balls for a night of fun.
Experience Seasonal Fall Colors
The changing alpine leaves during fall are truly a sight to behold. The forest scenery will be memorable from stunning Big Bear Lake views to the fairway greens of Bear Mountain Golf Course and dirt trails at Snow Valley. Be sure to bring your camera to capture scenic shots along the way, as the color changing leaves can be seen from all areas throughout the valley.
Glow-in-the-Dark Putting
Bring your putter to the Driving Range at Bear Mountain Golf Course the evening of Saturday, October 24 and experience a putting green like no other. With glowing balls and a lit up practice area, this will take putt putt to a whole new level.
The putting area is free of cost and does not grant you access to the Driving Range After Dark event at the Driving Range.

Harvest Hikes
Check out Snow Valley on foot while you explore the Longhorn hiking trail. Enjoy views of Slide Peak, along with shaded forestry, as you access this 3/4 mile loop from the top of Chair 1. The last day to hike is Sunday, October 25.
This trail is only accessible from Chair 1 and cannot be hiked to from the base area of Snow Valley.
