Join us for the 10th Annual Conquer the Wall, one of the most unique races you'll ever experience. This one-mile uphill challenge begins at 7,000 feet and climbs an incredible 1,000 vertical feet to the top of Snow Summit's iconic "The Wall" ski run. Best of all, every registration supports the Big Bear High School Cross-Country team.
Conquer the Wall holds a special place in the Big Bear community, tracing its roots to hometown Olympian Ryan Hall. Hall began his Olympic journey at Snow Summit by completing weekly one-mile timed runs up "The Wall." Today, the Big Bear High School cross-country team continues that tradition as part of its summer training program—a legacy that has helped produce three California state championships.
Arrive as early as 7AM and grab a coffee at Ironwood Coffee, located in the base area. The ticket windows will open up at 7:30AM for spectators to purchase a $15 Scenic Sky Chair lift ticket.
Racers will meet at the base of Snow Summit near the bottom of Chair 8. From there, racers will run up The Wall before making the final climb straight to the top. All volunteers and spectators to ride to the top will take a ride on Chair 1 to the top before the race starts.
8AM: Chair 1 starts boarding volunteers and spectators to get to the top
8AM-8:45AM: Racers meet at the bottom near Chair 8
9AM: Race begins from the bottom to the top
10:15AM: Award Ceremony at Skyline Taphouse
