Join us at Snow Summit on August 15, 2026 for the 10th annual Conquer the Wall, featuring one of the most unique races you will ever run – a one-mile, uphill dash beginning at 7,000 feet with all proceeds supporting the Big Bear High School Cross-Country team.
About Ryan Hall
A native of Big Bear Lake, Ryan began his Olympic journey at Snow Summit with weekly 1-mile timed runs up "The Wall" ski run, which the Big Bear High School Cross-Country team still utilizes as part of its summer training program, resulting in three state championships.

- 8AM: Chairlift starts spinning at 8AM for racers and spectators*
- 9AM: Race begins on The Wall
- 10:15AM: Award Ceremony at Skyline Taphouse*
*Skyline Taphouse is located at the top of Chair 1. Spectators can either hike the Bobsled Trail for free or purchase a special event ticket for chairlift access the day-of at any ticket window. rich-text, responsive-table -
Ironwood Coffee, located in the base area, will be open for coffee, snacks, and more starting at 7AM. The ticket windows will open up at 7:30AM.
