Health & Safety
To provide the best experience possible while accounting for the wellbeing of our guests, employees, and community, face coverings are required indoors for guests that have not been fully vaccinated.
Weather & Conditions
Forecasts are calling for dry weather with winds up to 10 mph, which is great for snowmaking. Temps this will will fall into the 20s with further cooling expected by Opening Weekend this week as the onshore flow returns.

Book in Advance
Lift tickets, season passes, and lesson/rental reservations are available for purchase online, in-person at any open ticket window, at the BBMR Visitors Station in the Big Bear Lake Village, or calling 844.GO2.BEAR*. At this time, Big Bear Mountain Resort is not planning to limit daily capacity. Season Passes will go offline in December. Lift tickets are required for on-hill activities – Skiing, Snowboarding, Tube Park, etc. – and special events. Get the best rates when you buy in advance.

Open Lifts/Terrain
Lifts Spin 8:30AM-4PM
We are open daily at Bear Mountain or Snow Summit. For this weekend at Snow Summit, Chairs 1 and 8 is available at 8:30AM with access to upper Summit Run to lower Miracle Mile and the Beginner Area. At Bear Mountain, Chairs 7 and 9 is open with access to Upper Park Run, Expressway, Central Park, Hidden Valley, and Inspiration. Get ready to find 12 jibs to hit in the park today! Additional lifts and trails will open as conditions permit.
Lessons
At Bear Mountain, private lessons will be available Saturday thru Sunday only. Group lessons are not offered at Bear Mountain at this time. Check back mid-December for updated class times and offerings for group lessons.
Group and private lessons are available at Snow Summit daily.
Equipment Rentals
Whether you're new to snow sports or looking to test out some of the latest high-end demo equipment, Big Bear Mountain Resort is your one-stop-shop for ski/snowboard rentals.
Pass holder receive 10-15% off equipment rentals. Call 844.GO2.BEAR to apply the discount.
Limited Edition T-Shirts
Stop by Big Bear Sports in the base area to grab a limited edition Opening Day t–shirt for $25 while supplies last.
Big Bear Mountain Resort and Ikon Pass holders receive 10-15% off retail purchases, excluding electronics.
In-Resort Dining

Parking
Upper lot and remote parking lot access will be available for free on a first come, first served basis Opening Weekend. Tailgating is not permitted at Big Bear Mountain Resort. Free shuttle service is available to/from all open remote lots.
Guests that have already purchased a Premium Parking Pass may pick up their pass at Bear Mountain or Snow Summit daily during operating hours.
At Big Bear Mountain Resort, we appreciate our pass holders, which is why 21/22 BBMR and Ikon Pass holders get exclusive access at both mountains on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021.
