Weather And Conditions
As we head into Snow Summit's Opening Day, Mother Nature is showing up with sunny skies and daytime temperatures in the high 40s. Remember to wear sunblock to protect your skin from the mountain rays and drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.

Road Conditions
The scenic "back side" route, State Route (SR) 38, to Big Bear Lake has been indefinitely closed due to a major storm that caused the road to be washed out. Be advised of the alternative driving routes to Big Bear Mountain Resort destinations. Depending on where you're located, consider taking:
• SR-330 to SR-18 via Running Springs
• SR-18 through Lucerne Valley
Regardless of the alpine route you take to get to the resorts, stay safe and drive slowly. For any road-related inquiries, please contact Caltrans directly, as we do not own or operate the roads.

Book in Advance
Lift tickets, season passes, rental reservations, and more are available for purchase online, in-person at any open ticket window, at the BBMR Visitors Station in the Big Bear Lake Village, or by calling 844.GO2.BEAR.

Pass Pick Up
If you did not receive your season pass in the mail, you must pick it up at a ticket window during operating hours. The purchaser/pass holder must be present upon pick up and present a valid physical photo ID with proof of age, such as a birth certificate, passport, or valid driver's license.
Live DJ Set
Get into the winter groove on Opening Day with live tunes spun by DJ Blake Newkirk from 9AM-11AM and then again for some après style action from 2PM-4PM.

Live Entertainment
Post up outside on the sun deck and take in the alpine views as we kickstart the winter season with an Opening Day live performance by Middle Ages Dad Bods from 11AM-2PM.
Lessons
Snow Summit will offer daily group and private ski and snowboard lessons. Reserve your spot online at least 2 days prior to arrival or book a class on-site day-of by heading to the ticket windows if instructors/spots are still available.

Equipment Rentals
Whether you're new to snow sports or looking to test out some of the latest high-end demo equipment, the base area rental shop is your one-stop-shop for ski and snowboard rentals. You must book at least 1 day prior to arrival for all online orders. You may book equipment rentals on-site day-of by heading to the ticket windows if gear is still available.

Parking
Upper lot and remote lot parking access will be available for free on a first come, first served basis on Opening Day. On Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7, paid parking will come into effect. Tailgating is not permitted at Big Bear Mountain Resort. Follow the Parking attendants and digital signage to know where to go.
Guests that have already purchased a Premium Parking Pass may pick up their pass during operating hours. These passes will not be mailed to you.
