Mountain Ready Bundle is an all-in-one package designed to provide guests ages 5 and up with nearly everything they need to learn how to ski or snowboard. Pricing ranges from $129 to $199, depending on the date. Mountain Ready Bundle is the first step in a guest’s skiing and snowboarding journey, an ideal introduction for first-timers who may not know where to begin. Offered at Snow Valley, participants learn the fundamentals, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to continue progressing across our mountains. This package includes:

  • One (1) Snow Valley lift ticket
  • All-day access to lesson zones
  • One (1) set of ski or snowboard equipment rentals (boots, skis/board, poles/bindings)
  • One (1) helmet

The package does not include parking fees on select dates, water-resistant gloves, water-resistant pants (available to rent for $20, subject to availability), sunglasses or goggles, or water-resistant socks.

How it Works
1. Pick a date and purchase your package. Select your preferred date and purchase the Mountain Ready Bundle with just one click.
2. Get fitted for your rental equipment. Visit the rental shop, complete your waiver in person, and get fitted for your ski or snowboard equipment.
3. Head to Mountain Ready Bundle meeting area to check in. Make your way near the Adventure Academy building and follow the on-site signage to the lesson area. Lesson zones operate from 9AM to 4PM, with 2:30PM being the latest time to join a lesson to ensure you have enough time to learn and practice.
4. Print your lift ticket. Use the barcode in your email confirmation to print your lift ticket near the Mountain Ready Bundle meet up area.

Not available for children ages 4 and under. Children age 4 are eligible for private lessons only.

How to Purchase
Purchase a spot online below. Start by inserting a date in the date calendar picker and click search dates to show products and prices. Once you add a Mountain Ready Bundle Ski or Snowboard Package to your cart, you will see additional items attached for the order at $0, including: one (1) rental, one (1) 1-day lift ticket add-on.

After Purchasing
After your purchase is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt entitled "Big Bear Mountain Resort Reservations." To ensure deliverability, please add reservations@bbmr.com to your safe senders list. If you are unable to locate your confirmation email, check your junk/spam folder or call 844.GO2.BEAR to speak to a reservation specialist.

On your reservation date, park at Snow Valley and head to the ticket pickup box to print your lift ticket using the barcode in your email confirmation. Then, visit the rental shop next to the pickup box to check in, complete your waiver in person, and get fitted for your ski or snowboard equipment. Once you're ready, make your way to the Adventure Academy building and follow the on-site signage to the lesson area. Lessons are available from 9AM to 4PM, with 2:30PM being the latest time to join a lesson to ensure you have enough time to learn and practice.
Mountain Ready Bundle is specifically designed for first-time skiers and snowboarders who are learning the fundamentals. Rather than a traditional lesson format, guests progress through structured learning zones focused on building specific beginner skills.

Once a guest can safely stop and turn, they may be ready to move beyond the beginner program and into a more advanced lesson or program.
The program focuses on the fundamentals of skiing or snowboarding, including:

  • Equipment basics
  • Proper stance
  • Balance and gliding
  • Stopping
  • Turning
  • Getting up after a fall
  • Basic mountain etiquette
  • How to safely load and unload a beginner lift
Mountain Ready Bundle begins in a designated beginner learning area. Depending on your ability and progress, you may have the opportunity to graduate to beginner terrain and ride a chairlift.

Chairlift access is not guaranteed and is based on your ability to safely stop, turn and navigate beginner terrain.
Guests may spend up to approximately two hours progressing through the program. The amount of time needed varies based on each guest's ability and pace. Some guests may complete the program sooner, while others may need additional time to build their skills.
Not necessarily. Instructors are assigned to different learning zones, so you may work with different instructors as you progress through the program.
Specific instructor requests are not available for Mountain Ready Bundle. Guests who would like to request a specific instructor should consider booking a private lesson.
Mountain Ready Bundle is designed to group guests by age and ability whenever possible. Children and adults will generally learn separately because their learning needs, teaching techniques and progression can differ.

Families may not be placed in the same learning group.
We will do our best to group siblings in appropriate age and ability groups, but being in the same group is not guaranteed. Group placement depends on age, ability, enrollment and available learning space.
No. Skiers and snowboarders will learn separately so that each group can focus on the skills specific to their equipment.
Spanish-speaking instructors may be available, but a Spanish-speaking instructor is not guaranteed.
