Join us for the 5th annual Conquer the Wall, featuring one of the most unique races you will ever run – a one-mile, uphill dash beginning at 7,000 feet with all proceeds supporting the Big Bear High School Cross-Country team.

We will also be taking donations of of athletic shoes - running, basketball, or soccer cleats - that are still in good condition. Read below for more information.

When Saturday, August 14 (9AM) – awards ceremony to immediately follow the course finish
Where Snow Summit (880 Summit Blvd, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315)
  • Early Registration – $30
  • Regular (July/August) – $40
  • Race day (August 10) – $60 

Age categories (male/female) 13 & under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+

Packet pickup is Friday, August 13, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Nottingham's Resort (40797 Big Bear Blvd.) and Saturday, August 14, from 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. at Snow Summit.

  • Top male & female – $100 cash prize
  • Custom awards for age and team1 category winners (male, female, co-ed2)
    • Top five times used to score.
    • Must include at least two female runners.

Non-participants interested in viewing the race finish at the top of the mountain must purchase a Scenic Sky Chair ticket separately. Special event tickets will be sold onsite on Friday, Aug. 13 and Saturday, Aug. 14 for $15

About Ryan Hall
A native of Big Bear Lake, Ryan began his Olympic journey at Snow Summit with weekly 1-mile timed runs up "The Wall" ski run, which the Big Bear High School cross-country team still utilizes as part of its summer training program, resulting in three state championships.
