Event Schedule

• 8:30AM: Main ticket windows open for reservation pick up
• 5:30PM: Chair 1 open for guest loading, food service begins
• 7PM-9PM: Live entertainment at top of Chair 1 & viewing area
• 8PM: Food service ends
• 8:45PM (approx.): Big Bear Fireworks Spectacular
• 9:45PM: Event conclusion; guests return to base area on chairs 1 & 2

Each ticket includes on entrée as well as a bag of chips and one bottled non-alcoholic beverage.

Live Entertainment

Kick off the evening with beats from DJ Slipmatt before enjoying a live dining performance by the Eric Roebuck band. It's the perfect way to settle in as the alpine glow dims leading into the firework spectacular that will light up the night sky.

Petting Zoo

Enjoy a few of Mother Nature's furry creatures and stop by the newest activity addition during your mountaintop evening visit. The petting zoo will host a full lineup of animals including goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits, a pig, a tortoise, an alpaca and a miniature horse.

Big Bear Sports Booth

Rock red, white, and blue at Above the Boom. Big Bear Sports will have a booth to offer BBMR-branded apparel for guests to purchase. Pass holders receive discounts on retail.

Be Prepared, Plan Ahead

Reserve tickets online ahead of time, and beat the crowd with ticket windows opening at 8:30AM day-of for reservation pick up. If over 21 purchasing alcohol, bring a physical government-issued ID with the credit card used to purchase the reservation.

It can get chilly at 8,200 ft in the sky, dress in layers, and enjoy the show.

What time does the event start?

Can I bring my own food with me when I watch the Fireworks show?

No outside food or drink allowed.

Pet policy

Pets are not allowed at the Above the Boom event. Service animals are allowed at the event but not on the chairlifts.

ADA Transportation

Guests in need of assistance may take a scenic ride in our ADA van to the top to enjoy all the firework fun! Meet at the Adventure Academy, when pulling into Summit parking lot it’s the first building seen directly on the left. The van will start loading at 5:15 p.m. and stop loading at 7:15 p.m. Arrive early to ensure plenty of transportation time before the fireworks start and enjoy the show!
