Bear Mountain & Snow Summit Opens on November 12
Weather & Conditions
After last week's first snow of the season, the flakes were flying again at Big Bear Mountain Resort, with over a foot of freshies in the last week.
Forecasts are day temps in the 40°s and evening temps in the teens. We'll see mostly sunny skies for opening weekend with northeast winds 5-15 mph at times. No snowfall is expected in the next week.

Pass Pick Up
BBMR Dual, Anytime, and Midweek season passes purchased through November 24 have been mailed to the guest address on file. After November 24, all BBMR season passes must be picked up at Bear Mountain or Snow Summit ticket windows during operating hours. Season passes purchased in-person will be printed on-site at the Bear Mountain or Snow Summit ticket windows. Ikon Pass purchased will continued to be mailed through December 8. Starting December 9, all Ikon Passes must be picked up in-person any Ikon Pass destination ticket windows, including Bear Mountain and Snow Summit.
NOTE: BBMR season pass renewals will not receive a new pass; guests will keep their pass from the previous season. Guests that renew an Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass will receive a new pass.
Purchaser/pass holder must be present and present a valid photo ID, with proof of age, such as a birth certificate, passport or valid driver's license at time of pass pick up.

Open Lifts/Terrain
Lifts Spin at Both Resorts 8:30AM-4PM
Snow Summit will operate Chairs 1 and 8 and is available at 8:30AM with access to upper Summit Run to lower Miracle Mile and the Beginner Area.
Bear Mountain will operate Chairs 7 and 9 and is open with access to Upper Park Run, Expressway, Central Park, Hidden Valley, and Inspiration.
Get ready to find park features at Bear Mountain on Opening Weekend. Park features at Snow Summit will be available starting early next week. Additional lifts and trails will open as conditions permit.
Snow Summit will operate Chairs 1 and 8 and is available at 8:30AM with access to upper Summit Run to lower Miracle Mile and the Beginner Area.

Bear Mountain Construction
For the first couple of weekends after Opening Day, Bear Mountain will still be working on renovation projects at Laybacks Bar, Methods Sports Bar & Coffee, and the rental shop.
All equipment rentals must be picked up at the Adventure Academy for the time being. Bear Mountain live cams will be available after all renovation projects are completed and the Wi-Fi networks are restored to full strength.

Book in Advance
Lift tickets, season passes, and lesson/rental reservations are available for purchase online, in-person at any open ticket window, at the BBMR Visitors Station in the Big Bear Lake Village, or by calling 844.GO2.BEAR*.
Lift tickets, lessons, and equipment rentals can sell out. Lift tickets are required for on-hill activities – Skiing, Snowboarding, Tube Park, etc. – and special events. Get the best rates when you buy in advance.

Lessons
Snow Summit will offer daily group and private lessons. At Bear Mountain, only private lessons will be offered and are available Friday thru Sunday. Starting November 25, group lessons will be offered at Bear Mountain Friday thru Sunday before switching to daily starting December 9.

Equipment Rentals
Whether you're new to snow sports or looking to test out some of the latest high-end demo equipment, Big Bear Mountain Resort is your one-stop-shop for ski/snowboard rentals.
Please note: Bear Mountain rental shop is still under construction. You will pick up rentals at the Bear Mountain Adventure Academy if you choose Bear Mountain as your pick-up location. Rental shop construction completion date TBD.

Upgrade Your Pass Program
At this time, 22/23 season passes are not available to purchase. Current pass holders may not upgrade their pass type. Check back in the spring for 23/24 details.

Moonridge Road Roundabouts
If you’re heading to Bear Mountain this winter, be aware that the section of Moonridge Road between Elm Street and Club View Drive has undergone several updates, including new pavement, drainage conditions, biking lanes, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, and most notably 2 traffic roundabouts.
Parking staff will be on-site to direct traffic on select dates, but guests should exercise caution, especially in snow or icy conditions.

Parking
Upper lot and remote parking lot access will be available for free on a first come, first served basis Opening Weekend. Tailgating is not permitted at Big Bear Mountain Resort. Follow the Parking attendants and digital signage to know where to go. New parking lots have been added this season.
Free shuttle service is available to/from all open remote lots.
Guests that have already purchased a Premium Parking Pass may pick up their pass at Bear Mountain or Snow Summit daily during operating hours. These passes will not be mailed to you.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON THE INTERMOUNTAIN SHUTTLES: The free shuttle that connects Bear Mountain and Snow Summit will not be operating on Opening Weekend.
