Join us at Snow Summit on Saturday, Oct. 27, for the inaugural Carve for Cash pumpkin carving contest, featuring tons of prize giveaways, free family-friendly activities, and a live carving demo by Halloween Wars season 4 winner, Jon Neill.

Ghosts and goblins ages 12 & under can enter for a chance to win a 2018/19 BBMR Anytime Pass, 2019 Summit Bike Park Pass, or plenty of other spook-tacular prizes while their mummies and daddies (ages 13+) compete for $1,100 in ghoulishly green dead presidents.

Carving contest entry is $10 per person with all activities taking place in the Snow Summit base area.

11AM: ‘How to’ pumpkin carving tutorial
12:30PM: Jon Neill pumpkin carving demo
5:30PM: Knives down – awards ceremony to immediately follow
6:30PM: Movie in the Meadow – Hotel Transylvania (PG, 91 min.)

Even More Fun

Enjoy some frightfully family-friendly fun in the Snow Summit base area before or after the carving contest, including batty bounce houses, freaky face painting, a photo BOO-th, and screening of Hotel Transylvania (PG, 91 min.).

All activities are free/open* to the public with concessions available for purchase at Bighorn Smokehouse. Activities and movie seating are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Folding camping chairs and blankets are permitted. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.

*Does not include carving contest.

Carving Contest Rules

1. A $10 entry fee is required to participate in the carving contest (all ages).
2. Carving entries are limited to one (1) per participant.
3. Participants must abide by all judges’ instructions and decisions, regardless of age/competition division.
4. Kids ages 12 & under may not receive excessive physical assistance/instruction from parents/guardians as determined by contest judges.
5. Carving entries will be judged on creativity, technical proficiency, and overall impression.

1Entry fee includes carving tools and pumpkin, subject to availability. Participants may bring their own carving tools and uncarved pumpkin, but are still subject to the $10 entry fee.
2Parents/guardians will receive one (1) verbal warning. Additional warnings will result in the participant’s immediate disqualification from the contest.
