We're only a few days away from the 5th annual Crafts N Cranks. Crafts N Cranks is a one-of-a-kind festival for mountain bikers, craft beer aficionados, and outdoor enthusiasts, featuring two days of bike competitions and beer tastings, with live music and a few carnival rides mixed in for fun at SoCal's home for year-round outdoor fun - Snow Summit. This is a FREE event for spectators on July 20-21. Wristbands for beer tasting or carnival rides are available for online purchase.

Join us at Snow Summit on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for the 2nd Annual Scout Cycling Merit Badge Clinic.

The Cycling badge is one of 13 merit badges scouts must earn to become an Eagle Scout. Our team of expert instructors will provide a fun-filled day of learning, as directed by BSA, to help your scout gain the skills and confidence needed to earn the Cycling badge.

  • Bike safety and lubrication overview
  • Brakes, seat, and steering tube adjustment training
  • Flat tire repair workshop

9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Trail Safety & First Aid
  • How to anticipate and prevent common cycling hazards
  • First aid training for common cycling injuries/illnesses
  • Overview of poisonous plants and animals in the area
  • BSA Bike Safety Guidelines review, including proper helmet size and clothing

10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Mountain Bike Lesson
  • Riding/trail etiquette workshop, including crossing obstacles and right of way rules
  • Overview of proper pedaling, braking, and shifting technique
