This week the dual pump track is officially open for business and the Pro Line is almost ready to ride.
With the dual pump track open for head-to-head racing, now is the time to take some practice laps and get your technique dialed in before the Summit Series Pump Track competition on July 8. Participants will compete in a bracketed, head-to-head format, with the fastest times advancing to the next round and the overall winners scoring some sweet swag. Just sign up in the base area on the day of the event.
If that sounds like your idea of a good time we’ll have another Pump Track competition at this year’s Crafts & Cranks – July 22-23 – with $2,000 in cold hard cash up for grabs. Registration and qualifying is Friday, July 21, with the finals on Saturday, July 22.
For our female riders, we’ll be hosting Fox Women's Sessions on July 8-9, featuring free “How-To” clinics, BBQ lunch, and Q&A session with pro riders Katrina Strand and Claire Buchar. Improve your skills and learn more about proper bike set up, mental preparation, and the bike industry in general. The sessions are open to the first 20 female riders that register on-site before 9:00 a.m. each day, with participants receiving 10% off bike and equipment rentals, $20 Bike Park lift tickets, and a chance to win some awesome prizes from Fox and BBMR. In trail news, the Crew did some work on Globo Jim and rebuilt a berm on Turtle Trail this week with Party Wave and Westridge getting some love too.
Check back next week for a recap on the opening of the Pro Line, an update on the Blue Jump Line, and the latest on our Adort-A-Trail program with the National Forest Service.
Until then, we'll see you on the dirt...
