Spring on the slopes means softer snow and sunny days. With over 150 inches of snowfall so far this season, it also means Big Bear Mountain Resort will be open for winter operations until Easter (April 21). Weekend forecasts are calling for temps
in the mid to upper-50s, so grab your gear – and some friends – and take advantage of the extended season.
This weekend, come celebrate the warmer weather at Bear Break 2019
, our annual homage to spring breaks past, featuring three days of on-hill contests, prize giveaways, and live music – March 29-31 at Bear Mountain. We’ll be hosting two competitions each day – including snow tube racing, an on-snow relay race, and daily pond skims – with the men’s and women’s winners of each event taking home a 2019/20 season pass, plus plenty of other prize giveaways throughout the weekend, so rock your best retro gear and come have some springtime fun.
If you’re all about the après, come play some big kid backyard games like colossal cornhole or big boy beer pong, ride the mechanical bull, or just post up on the sundeck and enjoy live performances by theLine and Low Lake Mountain Fire. Bear Break is free for all ages, but valid lift tickets or season passes are required to participate in on-hill activities.
