Special Winter Conditions Alert

Posted On: Jan 25, 2021

With over 3 feet of snow since last week, conditions at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are all-time. New snow is great for skiing and snowboarding but may present challenges for guests unfamiliar with traveling to/from the mountains in the winter. Be in the know before heading to the mountains so you can have a safe and successful trip.

  • Road restrictions are in effect. Always carry chains and stay up to date on closures and detours.
  • The weather can change quickly in the mountains. Forecasts are calling for more snow this week, so check current conditions and be prepared with proper clothing, water, and food.
  • Daily lift ticket sales are limited. Book in advance to secure your spot on the slopes.
  • Indoor dining/seating options are currently unavailable. Be prepared to spend the day outdoors or make your vehicle your basecamp.
  • Despite the regional Stay at Home order being lifted, BBMR's updated winter guidelines remain in place. Please remember to wear a face covering and socially distance at all times.
  • Base area access is limited. This winter, guests must have a valid season pass or lift ticket to receive gated entry access to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit.
  • Intermountain Shuttle service may be interrupted  due to road and weather conditions. Please check when you arrive, if you plan to travel between Bear Mountain and Snow Summit throughout the day.
