The US Forest Service has temporarily closed the San Bernardino National Forest and prohibited all recreation activities due to extreme fire risk. All operations at Summit Bike Park, including downhill and cross-country riding, the Scenic Sky Chair, hiking, and base area activities will be suspended this weekend (Sept. 11-13). Bear Mountain Golf Course is scheduled to remain open.

The decision to suspend operations was made to ensure the safety of our guests, employees, and community while allowing resources and firefighting personnel to be deployed effectively. We will continue to monitor the situation and work with the Forest Service to resume operations when conditions are safe to do so. Please follow all USFS closure guidelines and check the hours of operation page for the most up-to-date details.

We look forward to being your home for alpine good times as soon as conditions permit. In the meantime, guests with upcoming reservations for the weekend of Sept. 11-13 will be contacted by a BBMR Guest Services representative.
