MAKE THIS WINTER YOUR SEASON TO LEARN
Big Bear Mountain Resort (BBMR) is home to the best beginner programs and largest learning areas in Southern California. Whether it's your first day on the slopes or you've skiing or riding for years, taking a lesson from our team of top-notch ski and snowboard instructors is the best way to take your skills to new heights.
BBMR offers group and private ski and snowboard lessons for ages 4 and up as well as all skill levels, including intermediate and advanced skiers/riders and adaptive athletes. So whether you’re looking to learn the basics or want to take on more challenging terrain, we have a program to meet your needs.
Which learning program is right for you? Here’s a quick overview to help you determine your current skill level.
BEGINNER: Never skied/snowboarded or been on a chairlift before; need assistance to turn and/or stop
- INTERMEDIATE: Can comfortably turn, stop, ride the chairlift, and navigate most beginner and low intermediate runs
- ADVANCED/EXPERT: Confident skiing/snowboarding on all terrain, including steep and challenging features
ADAPTIVE: Special equipment or assistance needed to ski/snowboard or ride the chairlift
