GET ON THE HILL FASTER
With the winter season in full swing, getting on the slopes quickly can be a challenge, but we’re here to help. Here are 5 time-saving tips for your next trip to Big Bear Mountain Resort.
1. GET AN EARLY START
Bear Mountain and Snow Summit typically experience higher visitation and vehicle traffic on weekends and snow days, so give yourself plenty of time when traveling to/from the resort. And don't worry about missing breakfast – we have plenty of coffee and dining options available at both base areas.
2. SKIP THE TICKET WINDOWS
Get direct-to-lift access with a season pass or pick up your day ticket in advance. Season passholders bypass the lift ticket windows and head straight to the lifts. Non-passholders can save time by taking advantage of our new shop located in The Village. Purchase or pick up direct-to-lift tickets, get fitted for your snowboard or ski rentals, or book a lesson ahead of time.

3. GET FITTED FOR YOUR RENTALS AT YOUR LODGING PROPERTY
Skip the rental shop line by upgrading to our new concierge fitting service when you reserve rental equipment online or by calling 844.GO2.BEAR (462-2327). The service includes a personal fitting appointment with a Big Bear Mountain Resort rental technician at your lodging property and your rental equipment waiting in a designated locker at the property of your choice on the day of your reservation.
4. PICK UP YOUR RENTALS EARLY
If you have a Saturday equipment rental package reservation you can pick up your gear at Snow Summit after 5PM on the Friday before your reservation and enjoy a FREE Night Session lift ticket to shred under the stars until 8:30PM.
5. BOOK LESSONS IN ADVANCE
Reserve your lessons in advance to save time at the ticket windows and ensure location, time, and instructor availability. With plenty of lesson options and packages for all ages and abilities, there’s never been a better time to learn.
BOOK LESSONS ONLINE
If your child is signed up for a lesson, plan to arrive at least 60-90 minutes before the scheduled lesson time, then head to the Bear Mountain or Snow Summit Adventure Academies to check in. Both academies feature full-service kids equipment rentals and beginner areas with lift, lesson, and rental packages available for ages 4-12.
