19/20 SEASON OFF TO RECORD-SETTING START
After last week’s record-setting snowfall, Mother Nature is back at it, delivering 2-3" of fresh pow to Big Bear Mountain Resort (BBMR). Weekend forecasts are calling for mostly sunny skies with daytime highs in the upper 30s and low 40s and a chance for more snow on Saturday before giving way to an extended period of clear skies and moderate temps.
At Snow Summit, come enjoy 7 chairs (including MC3) with access to 13 trails now open daily and Chair 9 (Lower Westridge, Skyline Creek, Cruiser, Sundown, and Mainstream) scheduled to this weekend. Come play in the park with 18 new features, or check out the Grizzly Ridge Tube Park, open Friday-Sunday from 10AM-5PM, with ticket sales ending at 3:30PM and daily operations beginning Dec. 13. Please note, Night Sessions will not be available Dec. 6-7 so our operations teams can take advantage of the prime snowmaking conditions and continue to provide the best snow conditions in SoCal.
At Bear Mountain, get ready for 7 chairs (including MC1-4) accessing 11 trails, with Hidden Valley, Powderbowl, Park Face, Learning Curve and Amusement Park are scheduled to open this weekend. The park current has 47 features:
Park Run - 21 jibs, 2 jumps, and 1 hip
Red Bull Plaza - 8 jibs
Hidden Valley - 8 rollers, 1 jib
Central Park - 2 jumps, 2 jibs
Easy Street - 2 jibs
Please note, Bear Mountain will operate on weekends-only (Friday-Sunday) until Dec. 20. In the meantime, all Bear Mountain Anytime passholders can ski/ride at Snow Summit midweek (Monday-Thursday) until Dec. 19.
