FORECASTS CALL FOR PRIME CONDITIONS THROUGH NEXT WEEK
Big Bear Mountain Resort (BBMR) is renowned for having the best snow and most dependable snow conditions in Southern California thanks to our extensive snowmaking capabilities, which benefit guests by providing more reliable skiing/riding conditions as well as enhancing the snow throughout the season. Learn more about how snowmaking works at BBMR.
The first snowfall of the 19/20 winter season delivered 6" of snow on Wednesday, Nov. 21. With partly cloudy, cool and breezy conditions expected through the weekend, conditions should be prime for snowmaking as we prep for another potential storm system before next week’s Thanksgiving holiday.
At Snow Summit, snowmaking is progressing near chairs 1 (Miracle Mile) and 8 (Bear Bottom Learning Area), with expanded coverage to chairs 2 (Ego Trip) and 3 scheduled for next week. At Bear Mountain, the flakes are flying near chairs 7 and 9. Check out the 2019/20 winter trail maps.
