FRESH SNOW ALERT! The first snowfall of the 19/20 winter season brought us 6" of new snow. Forecasts are calling for the flakes to keep falling throughout the day before tapering off tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 22). With partly cloudy, cool and breezy conditions expected through the weekend, conditions should be prime for snowmaking as we prep for another potential storm system before next week's Thanksgiving holiday. Thanks for a Great 2019 Summer

Posted On: Oct 20, 2019

It's true, time really does fly when you're having fun. From adrenaline-pumping laps in the Bike Park and scenic mountaintop hikes, to events like Above the BoomCrafts & Cranks and Fox US Open of Mountain Biking, it's been an amazing summer at Big Bear Mountain Resort.

The 2019 summer season kicked off at the Snow Summit Bike Park on Saturday, May 25, with prime conditions with plenty of hero dirt – the tacky stuff that lets you feel like a hero when you carve through the berms – thanks to some leftover snow from the ski/snowboard season.

This summer also featured the grand opening of the double black diamond downhill trail, 10-ply, which opened in time for the US Open, two new shops in The Village, the debut of the Summit Mining Co. and Grizzly Ridge Summer Tube Park in the Snow Summit base area, a new mini pump track, and the triumphant return of dual slalom.

Check out this video for a recap of all the summer fun.
