Weekly Bike Report | Sept. 5, 2019
Posted On: Sep 05, 2019
Fall is making its way to the mountains, but the party is still rolling at Summit Bike Park. It's going to be another great weekend for riding, with a chance of rain and hero dirt in the forecast. This week, the Trail Crew continued prepping
10-ply for the
Fox US Open (Sept. 12-15) by adding more features, including a 50' jump called
Sim's Sender, and refining the trail’s overall flow. The Crew also broke ground on the rail jam course for the 16th annual
Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails, aka the largest winter kickoff party known to man, which will be at Snow Summit for the first time ever on
Sept. 28.
Please note, Summit Bike Park is now open weekends-only (Friday-Sunday) through Oct. 20, with two bonus days next week for the US Open. Some bike trails may be affected as we prepare for HDHR. For more information, check the
hours of operation and
trail status pages.
In case you missed it, Pro and Amateur registration is now open for the Fox US Open and tickets are now on sale for Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails, featuring live performances by
NOFX,
The Vandals, and
The Bronx. With HDHR temporarily moving to Summit this year, the base area scene should be incredible, with mountain biking, live music, and a one-of-a-kind snowboard rail jam contest all taking place at the same time.
In the meantime, grab the crew and get to the mountains for another great weekend.
