Ryan Wormsbecker, Trail Crew Director at Snow Summit, where the name 10-ply came from. He confirmed, "We named the trail 10-ply because we have all been addicted to watching the T.V. show Letterkenny. When they call someone super soft, they call them 10-ply, kind of an ironic name for a super gnarly trail." Wormsbecker goes on to add, "The trail is special because it does not resemble any other trail in the bike park, it is raw, steep and rocky, rather than manicured and perfect. There most certainly are trails like 10-Ply in the area, and most certainly in the MTB industry, however, many trails like this one, are not sanctioned trails and are illegal. So riding this trail gives you the illegal trail vibe in a protected setting. I think that our guests will appreciate how different the trail is compared to our existing other bike park trails. It truly has and old school downhill trail feel."

10-ply replaced the Log Chute hiking trail. This downhill trail features a mix of technical single-track terrain and natural features, including drops, and rock gardens that are sure to test riders’ skills. The trail is rated advanced/expert, so make sure to take some warmup laps before dropping in. Check out our full open trails list. Want the full scoop?
