Another Crafts N Cranks in the Books
BIKES, BEERS, & GOOD TIMES
This wasn’t just another bike race. Crafts N Cranks, is a one-of-a-kind bike and brew festival featuring 40+ craft beers sampling, family-friendly activities and carnival rides, races cashing out over $44k in prize money, plus live performances by Whitekaps, Death by Stereo, The Examiners, and IGNITE. Thanks to everyone who made it out for the 5th annual Crafts N Cranks at Snow Summit (July 20-21, 2019).
This year in addition to the adrenaline-pumping MTB action, Crafts N Cranks added in an all-new Dual Slalom race, where riders competed head-to-head on an identical slope course. After a Friday evening of qualifying, the pros spent 2 intense hours in the finals filled with tabletop jumps, doubles and bermed turns. Kyle Strait was named winner for the men's category, and Anneke Beerten was named winner for the women's category. Both took home $1,500 prize purse each. View full results.

July 20 was also the official holiday of mountain biking. For the second year, Big Bear Mountain Resort teamed up with Fox Racing to support and participate in the annual “International Ride Mountain Bike Day”. 100 free bike park lift tickets for Snow Summit were given away at the Fox booth at Crafts N Cranks.
Big Bear Mountain Resort had received approval earlier this year from the Forest Service to build a new build a new 1.38-mile double black downhill trail, 10-ply. This highly anticipated addition opened on July 20 for use*.
*Valid Snow Summit bike park lift ticket required.
