The Holiday Weekend is Here
With a fresh blanket of snow overnight and more expected throughout the next few days, this 3-day holiday weekend will be one for the books. Join us at Snow Summit for Movies in the Meadow, School of Rock (PG, 1hr. 49 min.) this Saturday, Feb. 16. at 5:30PM.Also, come cruise the slopes under the stars all weekend long from 3PM - 8:30PM at Snow Summit Night Sessions.
Remember to check road conditions before you head out to see if snow chains are required as conditions can change rapidly. There are 3 ways up and 3 ways home, so plan ahead and be sure to check our road conditions page with real-time updates provided by Caltrans.
Your Season to Learn
Big Bear Mountain Resort is also home to the largest beginner areas and best learning programs in Southern California, with lessons for all ability levels (ages 4+). Whether you prefer a private lesson or learning in a group setting, we’ve got you covered. Lessons can fill up fast, so book yours in advance online to make sure you get the day, time, and instructor you want.
If you’re headed to Bear Mountain, check out the all-new Adventure Academy. The facility, which opened in December, pairs with the Snow Summit Adventure Academy that opened in 2017 to help families with kids ages 4-12 get on the slopes faster. Grab a hand-crafted coffee or signature cocktail from Shred, Shaken & Stirred while your little one learns from the best instructors in the business, or swing by at lunchtime for an artisan wood fire pizza from Flatbottom Dough.
